    Hello there! I'm Sue, your blog host here on Between the Pages and Beyond. I am a wife and pug mom, living a humble life in Buffalo N.Y. I work full-time as an Administrative Assistant for a team of Cardiothoracic surgeons, and also a freelance book editor. My love of books started when I was about 7 years old, reading Judy Blume books, then The Hardy Boys & Nancy Drew series. My first grown-up book to read was The Hobbit (my brother never knew I took it from his room....LOL!) I don't have a favorite genre. I appreciate the many choices out there & am amazed by the extremely talented writers amongst us all.

    Hi everyone! I'm Terri, and I hail from the midwest. I am a wife and mother of a son. No grandchildren yet! I was a secretary for 17 years before becoming a kindergarten teacher and did that for 20 years! And now (I can't believe it), I've been retired for 5 years!!
    I love to read -- almost everything, but my great reading love is the Classic genre. My first grown-up book was Little Women in the 6th grade. But I like to learn as I read so I'll take almost any recommendations that are given me! Happy Reading! :)

So my friend, Terri and I are reading a story written in 1925. An American Tragedy by Theodore Dreiser. We both decided to read this together as it's on our book bucket lists. Dust cover from 1926 edition We will share our progress, thoughts, opinions and eventually our individual reviews. Since libraries and book stores are closed nationally due to COVID-19, you can find either the paperback or kindle edition on Amazon. There are many editions on Kindle, but all the same story.
